| Sketching is a traditional way to learn to draw, and it’s used throughout an artist’s career to refresh and sharpen their drawing skill.
Introduction to sketching is a 8 lesson drawing class taught in a “sketch first, refine later” style that I designed to get you drawing quickly. I use illustrated step by step drawing instructions and videos to show you how. Drawing is the foundation of all visual art and I created this class to help get you farther along the learning curve to artistic expression with less frustration. As always, I hope this class gives you the confidence you need to walk gracefully on your own art journey. |

Graphite Pencil
You’ll learn techniques for drawing with graphite pencil in my classes, but you can apply the core concepts you’ll learn about sight drawing, line, texture, value, and form to any other art medium.
Supplies
Drawing Supplies – Very few drawing supplies are required for the beginning drawing classes. There is a supply list at the beginning of each class, but a few graphite pencils, drawing paper, and an eraser are all you usually need to get started.
Broadband – A broadband internet connection is needed to view the videos in the classes.
