My Husband – The Artist's Model

I’m sure my husband never thought he’d be an artist’s model, but that’s what he became when he married me. It was a given. He’s a pretty good sport about it, too. He’s a bit fidgety while awake but he sleeps like the dead. And in just about any position, too!

Anyway, we just got back from vacation and the best drawing I did while we were away is one I can’t show you. My husband had fallen asleep in a lawn chair – head back – mouth open – really funny looking – and stayed that way while I sketched away. Looking back on my vacation drawings, most of them are of him in some lovely area of the country dozing away in a funny and awkward position.

You just gotta love a man who lets you sketch him in any position you happen to find him in. :)
