My name is Carol Rosinski and I’m a teaching artist. A teaching artist is an artist who gets great enjoyment and fulfillment from teaching their medium to others. My medium is the humble pencil. I’ve tried several mediums throughout my life but nothing has been a more expressive tool for me than graphite has been.
Graphite pencil is limited by its lack of color, but I find that limitation challenging. Like a river that’s forced to run between steep banks, a medium that has limitations forces the artist to go deep and flow with intensity.
I combine my love of drawing with teaching in my online drawing classes and in my book called Drawing Made Easy: Getting Started.
