How To Frame Miniature And ACEO Sized Art

Display Ideas

Display miniature artwork in a smaller sized frames in a grouping on a wall, shelf, or desk. A mixed collection of art can make a united wall display. If you collect ACEO’s or ATC’s, there are frames made especially for that size, as well as albums for collections.

A Word About Matting

Mats are used to keep the artwork away from the glass in the picture frame. It keeps the moisture condensation that can form on glass away from the art. I’ve personally discovered old photos permanently stuck to the glass, so protect your art.

Framing Miniature and Small Art

Frame miniature art inexpensively ready-made 8×10 or 4×6 frames, and have mats cut to fit the art in a color that suits the art and your decor. And since my medium is graphite pencil, pale yellows, greens, and dark blue go well with it.

Since ATC size art is so popular, you can buy ready made mats that fit popular sized frames.

Jerry’s Artarama has some inexpensive Viewpoint ATC Mats: 8×10’s in black, white, and beige with one opening and a 16×20 with nine openings. Here you go.
