All their leaves are gone and I can see their trunks really well. Sometimes their limbs look like human arms and it&#8217;s easy to see faces in their trunks. I can understand how some people believe that spirits live in trees.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d like to draw a tree spirit. I&#8217;d like to create a scene with a tree that looked back at me as I looked at it. I think a drawing like that would cross the boundaries of two artforms; it would remain a drawing but it would also become a story. That&#8217;s ok, I think visual artists are story tellers, too.
