I don’t draw lightly. I should say that I can’t. Drawing is not how I make my living, it’s how I express my heart. (Occasionally, when the stars align just so, I do make money from my art.) When I take on a project for someone else, it has to be something that resonates in my heart, too, or I can’t do it. The energy to do the project will not manifest if my heart is not there. So, I’ve had to define what success means to me, because the only definition that this society allows is how much money you’ve made by doing a thing. I’ve had to hunt for my own true happiness, also, and I’ve had to learn to honor what I’ve discovered about it. Now I’m learning how to say "no" to other people’s ideas for and about my drawing.<\/p>\n
Drawing is the solid center around which I have been formed. I send my love and energy to you so that you can find your own solid core. If that core is drawing or any other art form, you are blessed even though it might not seem so now.
