I’m going to make my rose drawing into a lesson. I love stopping at each stage of a drawing, scanning it, and then writing out how I created each stage afterward. I’ve come to think of that process as an art form, too! I guess that’s so appealing to me because I love understanding how art is made, and I love looking at a drawing in its various stages. When I look at the stages of a drawing, I see bones, then muscles, then skin, and then a living presence emerge from the paper.
