I was wondering how to draw compassion yesterday. The image that came to me was a drop of rain about to fall from the tip of a leaf. There is enough room in the world for every creature, every plant, and every element to be exactly as it is. If I understand it correctly, the Buddhist interpretation of \u201ccompassion\u201d is to give everything room to be just exactly as it is. If that is so, then it means that the earth is infinitely compassionate. Within this biosphere, everything has enough room to be exactly as it needs to be. This does not mean that everything lives in blissful harmony but that everything lives within the relationship of the whole. Every leaf, every drop of rain, and everything else, reflects this compassion. I cannot not draw compassion!<\/p>\n
