I\u2019m working on seeing my life as my job instead of compartmentalizing each aspect of it and assigning it importance based on what society thinks is valuable. That means that time spent making money is just as important as time spent making a piece of art that will never sell for the money equal to the time put into it. I am a product of this society and I value money. I assign value to my time by the amount of money I could be making with it, and I judge myself harshly if I fail to live up to this value system based on money. <\/p>\n
Of course I know I need money to live. I have bills that need to be paid. But I wonder how I came to be such a Scrooge about time; counting every second like it was gold instead of precious life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
