We got hit by the edge of an ice storm yesterday and this morning the ice show was spectacular! The morning sun hit it all at a low angle and every branch on every tree glittered silver, gold, red, and green. As far back into the woods as I could see, every twig sparkled and danced with light. I stayed out as long as I could, until my fingers got numb and my camera slowed down from the cold.
Of course, none of the photos I took were able to capture what I saw, so I’ll only be able to keep it in my heart with memories. Sometimes that’s for the best.
